bolivia

February-March 2019

The core of South America.

Bolivia may be poor in regards to money, but rich in nature and culture. The mountains here are incredible, and insane landscapes dot every corner of this vast nation.

We spent almost a month in Bolivia, travelling with our inflatable kayak. The rivers are awesome, and there are plenty of other adventures and excellent backpacker infrastructure.

We were surprised at the number of backpackers in Salar de Uyuní. We hardly even met Bolivians in this busy town! The rest of the country, however, is not filled with tourists. Compared to Peru, you can practically have the place to yourself.

We liked Bolivia. A lot. It gets a great reputation among travellers, for good reason.
