canyons of canada
Cold and beautiful.
Canada is not exactly a canyoneering mecca - yet.
However, there are new canyons being discovered every year here.
Living in Montana, we venture into Canada many times each summer for these majestic slots. They're all cold, can be remote, and often necessitate carrying bear spray.
Virtually every canyon is in Alberta and British Columbia. We've done a couple of first descents in Alberta, all of which are ~20-kilometer days involving bushwhacking, mountain bikes, logging roads, 4x4 driving, mosquitos, and very glacial meltwater.
Every canyon here is an adventure, to say the least.
