guernsey

September 2024

Mild-weather quaint island.

Guernsey is a dream.

The island is tiny. You can practically walk across it in a few hours. There are beaches galore, with chilly water and moist, humid air. The houses and architecture are centuries old and gorgeous, the streets are windy, begging you to explore what's around the next curve, and there's plenty of historical ruins and points of interest to check out.

We spent a few days here in September 2024. The downside is that it's horribly expensive - good luck finding an affordable hotel! Fortunately, there is a campground where you can stay for cheap, as we did. There's also a great public bus system that goes all over. And there are nice walking trails everywhere.

We met so many incredible local people here. Some are from the island, and many have moved to the island. Some of the happiest people we've met in all the UK seemed to be on this little piece of paradise.

A few locals encouraged me to immigrate to Guernsey, saying they'd love to have me, and my profession is in need here. It's easily worth considering.
