Hot, flat, and with a few secrets.

Texas is enormous, and the only fair generalization may be that it's mostly flat. The west, however, has some pretty significant mountains.

I've been here a few times, mostly road trips, and have completed one of the US's most unique canyoneering routes in Big Bend National Park. This area is one of the gems of North America if you go at the right time of year - October after rains have brought the desert to life.
