uruguay
September 2016
Seaside Latin America.
There's not much to do in Uruguay besides go to the beach. Fortunately, the country has miles and miles of great beaches. People are friendly, the country has good infrastructure, and it's easy to like it here.
I came solo to Uruguay and spent about 10 days here, hitchhiking around the country. I spent over half of my time holed up in 'El Pirámide', a small room in the woods of Punta del Diablo, studying for the NCLEX. I spent mornings and evenings on long walks along the stormy South Atlantic.
I liked this little country. It doesn't get much press or attention, or many visitors, which is probably what keeps it special.
